The Future of the Labor Left

Abstract

Capitalism has been defined by both competition among capitalists and competition among workers. Workers regularly compete with one another for limited resources—specifically, for jobs and income. Capitalists initiate this competition to depress wages and working conditions and to insure that, in the struggle between capital and labor, capital is supreme.
