HistoryAbstract
The death of Ralph Miliband after a long suffering deprives the socialist world of one of its leading voices. A bastion of integrity, of intellectual power and moral intensity, of lucidity, of hope and eloquence has been taken down. The loss to those who knew and loved him is incalculable; so, too, is the loss to his students, to the Socialist Register he guided so brilliantly, and to those other radical causes to which he gave himself. This article can also be found at the Monthly Review website, where most recent articles are published in full.
