Abstract

The first of the two following interviews was conducted by Kiyoshi Okonogi, a Japanese journalist. It was published in condensed form in Asahi Shimbum, one of Japan's leading newspapers, on October 16, 1991. The second interview was conducted by Robert Weissman, editor of Multinational Monitor, and published in its September 1991 issue.
