AbstractThe focus of this essay is on the patterns and tendencies in the class struggle in Latin America. The process of class conflict has developed in a complex and contradictory fashion, reflecting ebbs and flows, as well as taking a diversity of forms and directions. The purpose of this essay is to "map" the class struggle, establish its parameters, and identify the underlying political-economic processes out of which the struggle is developing.
