Latin America: Class Conflict and Capitalist Development

Abstract

The focus of this essay is on the patterns and tendencies in the class struggle in Latin America. The process of class conflict has developed in a complex and contradictory fashion, reflecting ebbs and flows, as well as taking a diversity of forms and directions. The purpose of this essay is to "map" the class struggle, establish its parameters, and identify the underlying political-economic processes out of which the struggle is developing.
