Abstract

Ever since 1976, annual conferences (called Round Tables) have been held in Cavtat, Yugoslavia, on various themes related to socialism. These are sponsored by two Yugoslav journals, Socialism in the World and Marxism in the World, which invite participants from over 50 countries. The theme of the most recent Round Table (September 22 to 27, 1980) was "Participation, Self-Management, and Socialism." The following is an edited version of two interventions made on some of the main topics of debate at the conference. - The Editors
