Whither U.S. Capitalism?

Abstract

In one sense the answer to this question is that U.S. capitalism is going the way of the world capitalist system. It follows that some understanding, or at least assumption, about this is necessary to any intelligent discussion of the question. I will therefore begin by very briefly summarizing my own view of where the world capitalist system is going.
