More on the Fiscal Crisis of the State; Reply to Sherry Gorelick

Abstract

I am grateful to Hugh Mosley for his careful and thoughtful summary of many of the theses in my book The Fiscal Crisis of the State; for his appreciation of my attempt to tackle the difficult problem of the relationship between capital and state in modern capitalism; and for some of his criticisms of the book (MR, May 1978). Certain criticisms, however, have little or no basis in fact.
