AbstractTwice during the lifetime of senior citizens, random local wars have boiled up and boiled over into continent-wide military struggles. There was one general war from 1914 until 1918, another from 1936 to 1945. Is the same thing about to happen again? Does mankind face another period of planned, organized, wholesale destruction and mass murder?
