Abstract

Stalwart backers of the United States Establishment and its medium of economic exchange, the dollar, are seriously concerned about dollar stability. The one-time saying, "as sound as a dollar," has disappeared from common usage. As inflation eats away its purchasing power, the dollar buys less and less.
