The Cultural Revolution at Peking University

Abstract

Peking University, familiarly called Peita in China, was founded as the Imperial University in 1898. It has been the country's most celebrated modern institution of higher learning, as well as its oldest. By the early 1960's Peita had about 10,000 students in its eighteen faculties.
