The Breakthrough in Guatemala

Abstract

In this and the June issues of MR we are privileged to present to the world for the first time the real story of the guerrilla movement in Guatemala. The reporting, consisting of a long two-part article and a number of interviews, is by Adolfo Gilly who spent several weeks during January and February in the Guatemalan mountains, and whom MR readers will remember as the author of Inside the Cuban Revolution (the October, 1964, issue of the magazine, also published separately as an MR Press book).
