AbstractNever in America has there been an event of such extraordinary characteristics, such deep roots, and such far-reaching consequences for the destiny of the progressive movements of the continent as our revolutionary war. By some it has even been called the cardinal event in the history of America and next in importance to the triad composed of the Russian Revolution, the social transformations that followed the triumph over Hitler's armies, and the victory of the Chinese Revolution.
