Abstract

Extremely important theoretical and political issues are involved in the present dispute between the leaders of the Soviet bloc on the one hand and the leaders of Yugoslavia on the other—issues which every serious socialist must study carefully and attempt to make up his own mind about. At the time of writing we have not yet got hold of the full text of the Yugoslav draft program which touched off the dispute, nor of all the key criticisms which have been leveled at it by the Russians and the Chinese. Nevertheless, enough has been published in the American and Western European press—both direct quotes and summaries—to permit a preliminary commentary.
