The Crisis in the Labor Party

Abstract

The resignation of two Cabinet Ministers, Aneurin Bevan and Harold Wilson, and of one junior Minister, Mr. John Freeman, has brought into the open the crisis long ripening in the Labor Party. The immediate occasion of the crisis was the refusal of the resigning Ministers to accept the break with the principle that the National Health Service should be free.
