Abstract

Christopher Brady is from Toronto. He was a carpenter and returned to school part-time (nights and weekends). He graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude from Brooklyn College in June 1992 and is currently enrolled in the graduate history program at the University of Oregon where he was awarded a teaching fellowship. This speech was given on May 4, 1992 before a rally organized by a student group called JUSTICE. The rally was a response to the Rodney King verdict.
