Abstract

Iranian by birth, Mojtaba Sadria received his education mostly in France and Germany. He taught in Canadian universities for seven years, publishing in English, French, and Japanese. He has been a visiting research fellow at the University of Tokyo from 1989 to the present and a professor of political science. Doug Lummis, an American, a member of the editorial board of AMPO (a Japanese quarterly), and a professor deeply involved in the antiwar movement, started the discussion on the international context of Japan's position in the war.
