Abstract

Indications are that if the American government and General Colin Powell were at this historical moment to mount a "modest" military invasion of Haiti, it would be hailed as a "good" invasion. The expected good outcome of that invasion would be the eviction of a bunch of army thugs and the restoration to power of ousted President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
