Abstract

The Gulf war as it was presented in the Western media had but one objective: to enforce the rule of law and under that banner to liberate Kuwait. Once this objective was met, it was claimed, a new world order founded on law and justice would be established, finally realizing the promise of the end of the East-West conflict.
