Abstract

The following is a reconstruction from notes of a talk given at a number of universities (Idaho State, University of Southern California, Stanford, and the Berkeley, Los Angeles, and Riverdale campuses of the University of California) in late March and early April. The conclusion, posing the problem of a revitalized revolutionary movement in the capitalist world, raises many issues which require extended analysis and debate. MR's double summer issue, to be entitled "Religion and the Left," will begin the task of exploring these issues. - P.M.S.
