Abstract

The fact that the title for this talk was given to me by the organizers of this lecture series reflects what is doubtless a widespread conviction that corporations, the state, and imperialism are intimately interrelated both in theory and in practice. My assignment, I take it, is to attempt to throw light on the nature of these interrelations. And the most logical way to proceed is first to define the three concepts individually and then to inquire as to how they are related to each other.
