Abstract
Class analysis begins with an examination of the relationships of different social groups to the means of production; that is elementary. However, in the era when the means of production stretch across national boundaries and include many different countries within their sphere, this first step is by no means simple. In order to understand the relations between classes within a given country, it is necessary to understand also the relationship of that country to other countries within the entire production sphere.
