Abstract

One evening in Cuba early in January, I met a young man, about twenty-four, who was in charge of "revolutionary orientation" in and around the city of Cienfuegos, Las Villas province. I made an effort to find out exactly what he did but for one reason or another, probably my own lack of "orientation" in the Cuban Revolution, there was no meeting of minds. He kept telling me that as regional representative of COR (Committee for Revolutionary Orientation) his job was to acquaint the agricultural and industrial workers of the area with the need for understanding and supporting this or that program of the Party.
