Abstract

Revolucion o Muerte is the scrawling on a Santiago wall. Revolution or Death. The slogan is a new one to Chileans. But then, so is the party that has adopted it. Formed in August of 1965, Chile's MIR (Movement of the Revolutionary Left) is the newest of the mirista parties in Latin America and in certain respects it is unique.
