Abstract

Government and business circles in the United States are complimenting one another on the success of the "new" economics. After 1918, boom-and-bust shattered the world economy and severely damaged that of the United States. The past twenty years in the United States have been "depression free." Moral: a private enterprise economy properly managed can abolish the boom-bust business cycle.
