Abstract

Following is the second half of the remarks made by Barrows Dunham at a dinner given him and his wife Alice on the occasion of their sixtieth birthday. They were both born on October 10, 1905, in Mount Holly, New Jersey. When it comes to values, children are the most understanding of us all. I once said to my grandson Robbie, "How is it you're so beautiful?" And he replied, shrugging off the compliment, "And fast, and tough." His older brother Rick, being further along in school, teaches him a good many things in advance. When Alice asked him why, Rick answered, "I wanted him to know."
