United States business and government sources continue to announce items stressing the end of the recession and the beginnings of recovery. But many indicators do not point to recovery. Steel production in the week ending September 20 was listed as 1,771,000 tons. This was 65.6 per cent of rated capacity and was slightly below the production of the previous week.
